Does your blouse have the blues? Is your sweater giving up the ghost? Have your socks had enough? Then put them all in a plastic bag and take them to one of Avalex\u2019s neighbourhood containers for a big new adventure. Let your old clothes pick up the thread of the story again!<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Textiles can be given a second life. Good quality second-hand clothes can go to the thrift store or are sent to a country in need. Clothing of lesser quality can still be repaired by workshops and sent on to a new owner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Non-wearable textiles can also be given a new lease of life, such as torn clothes, sheets, towels and curtains. They are taken apart (fiberized) and broken down into different types of fibre. New clothing can be made from this material, but also such things as insulation material, blankets for packing and car seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
